First off, I just have to say that the maintenance guy Scott is a total ROCK STAR! This guy is hands-down the best thing about Laurel Park. He is always courteous, respectful and extremely helpful.

The neighbors were all very nice and friendly. Everybody seemed to mind their own business, for the most part. The grounds were very nice and the place was kept pretty. OK, that is all the good stuff. Now for the dirt.

I am not sure about the current management, but the manager while I lived there was a total jerk. His name was Russ and everybody hated him. He finally quit after many residents had filed complaints about him to HQ. It was either quit or be fired, I think. He was an all around bad guy. The self-declared "Sheriff around those, there parts," if you catch my meaning. He was never shy about flexing his manager muscles to harass tenants about the smallest things. I am just glad I am not female, because he was quite the sexual harasser as well. I personally know many women at this apt. complex who were creeped-out by his advances... a married man who was verbally abusive to his wife (and who knows what else''').

The bugs were pretty bad too. We had big time ant problems. It was pretty gross.

I can not recommend this apt. I would keep looking. Anyplace that has this much trouble getting a good manager isn't worth it. Anyplace that would employ people like Russ, isn't worth supporting.
