Okay so this is the real deal with the Renaissance at Hobble Creek Apartments, from a current and happy tenant/resident there. First off, there is no perfect experiences when renting, and that is just the nature of the thing. There is always going to be annoying neighbors, people that don't follow the policies, and parking at any complex is never a picnic unles you live there. With that said, the Renaissance in the past had some issues; however, they are now under new management and all new people working there. With one exception, Anna...she is from the old staf and is still the Manager of the place. By the way, she is not a bad person, and nothing like she has been made out to be. They have recently painted a majority of the complex, and are currently in the process of the painting the rest. They have remodeled the Clubhouse, the pool area, and are in the process of doing the Gym. They are hoping to get some new equipment for the gym as well. They just introduced a web site, that allows for complaints, maintenance requests, and as well to pay your rent. I don't know of any places that do this, and this is very helpfull. The lease is very clear, that the rent must be paid by the 3rd, I have no clue where anyone would interpret the 4th. By the morning of the 4th, the rent is late. The rent must be paid by the close of bussiness on the 3rd of the month. No exceptions. The rent is a bit high, I will admit, but the places are a lot nicer then some that want to charge that amount. The place I lived in berfore wants to charge $750 for a one bedroom in Nampa, I am paying $831 for a 2 bedroom/2 bath on the second floor here. The only complaint I have on my apartment is the carpet. Vanilla carpet is hard to keep clean, but they have changed to darker carpets when they redo them. Again, I was under the old management.
They are super accomodating with pets, of course there is a deposit, but there is one at a lot of places. The deposit amount is the same as other locations as well. They have dogs of all breeds aloowed and all shapes and sizes. So if you have a big pooch, they are more than welcome here. The only thing they ask of us, is we pick up after the dogs. This is not an unreasonable request to me, being the owner of a 3yr old Lab/Retreiver myself.
The staff is young, true...but they are very helpfull and competant in their jobs. They are super nice and courteous as well. Anna has gotten a bad wrrap in here, and she is really not like that. Anna is super nice and helpfull. She is busy yes, but who wouldn't be managing a place as large as the Renaissance. She cannot bend the rules to everybody's whim, which probably makes her seem mean, but she is not. Anna is a good manager and a good person. The rest of the staff is the same way, good at what they do and good people.
The Renaissance Apartments are a great place to live, and very secure. The apartemtns are very well designed with walkin in closets. There is cable included with all rooms, but they allow for satellite dishes as well. Basically this place is the best place I have ever rented from, and I have rented from a lot of places.
Please, do not believe all that you read from all the negative nay-sayers, and look into the place for yourself.
Thanks

Well your a lucky one then. My experience was a nightmare. Constant maintenance problems. The access panel for the AC leaked, constantly, they "fixed" it multiple times, yet I always had to keep a bucket there. Staff was slow and extremely rude. Constantly blamed ME for the actions of my next door neighbors. Then charged me a ridiculous cleaning fee after I cleaned the apartment throughly.
From my experience, and the experience of others, if your not rich and don't drive a Lexus or Mercedes they'll treat you like dirt.

Jeez, it sounds like you work for the place, the way you make it out to sound... I lived there for 1 year, and I hated it with a passion. Old staff new staff, whatever. The staff didn't enforce the rules in the contract (specifically referring to noise violations), the people living above us ran their appliances at all hours (which they were not suppose to, do the the noise it created), and the people below us were 4 college students who partied until 4am with their bass rattling our furniture. For you to encourage someone to ignore other's posts is irresponsible and ignorant ~ there's a reason the vast majority of the posts are negative regarding this apartment... it's because the majority of the residents posting didn't/don't like their stay there.

Being prior military, I've lived in a lot of different places. This was by far the absolute worst place I've been. After we moved out, they not only kept our deposit, but sent us a bill for the cleaning, carpet replacement, and odor?? What the hell? We cleaned our place so well, someone could've moved in immediately. And as far as the carpet... We lived there for 2 years and shampooed it every 6mos. They can NOT charge for wear and tear! There's no telling how long the carpet was there before us. There also was no odor at all! We are clean freaks and the only thing you could smell, if anything, was the carpet shampoo. So anyway, they kept our deposit and sent us the full bill for everything. $175 for cleaning, $175 for carpet, etc etc... Why the hell did we have to pay the $1500 fee for breaking the lease then?? That fee is supposed to cover all that crap!

I agree with the last sentence from saphiremoon. "There are many factors at play..." Including Prejudice and Who is willing to pay the most. we own dogs and we recieved a warning from a staff memeber who was coming up the stairs to tell us "to turn down our music" which was not on nor had been on for a few weeks. their "do it when we feel like it" attitude and rude unproffessional attitude in informing us that our "music" was too loud (which was not on) was extremely rude infact demeaning to one of my roommates who is very mildly spoken and a very even tempered lady. not onlny that but this staff member "cop knocked" on our door which resulted in making our dogs bark, which if anyone who has a good dog will do. and then she said if she got another complaint about us we would be evicted in 3 days. later in the office she went on to say that we must "glide across the floor as to not make any noise... the dogs are never to bark... the tv is to be a a low volume (which one cannot hear)..." in short no fun because there is no grace. I find their style of management similar to the sirens of Homer's "Odysee" they lure you in showing you how attractive it is and all the wonderful things there are here... then they turn on you to tear your flesh from your bones via price gouging etc. This is a magical wonderful place, alot like a six flags themepark located in the anus of satan

Seriously, you are going to compare management here with the sirens. Seriously? Oh come on. They are not like you are making them out to be at all. If there were complaints on the noise, it did not originate with them. They do not camp out in your stairway waiting for the noise to start. It came from your neighbors. The ones that live here with you. Or did you forget that others live here too? By the way - you are making it so they will leave a bad review too. Their experience at the Renaissance may not be a pleasant one living near you with all the music and all. Therefore, you a molding their experience here too.
I have lived here over 4 years now, and I am not by any means blaming Management - Anna included for my bad experiences here. By the way - did I mention not all has been ROSEY.
Dogs bark - it happens, but if the dog is barking into the night or non-stop there is a problem. I have now 2 dogs here and - they are protective, but do not excessively bark for the heck of it. A lot of the time - when dogs bark like that - they are bored. Try leaving the tv on for them. I do and it works like a charm.
I have never in all the 4 years here - heard Anna or any others say "glide" accross the floor. Not sure of the "cop knock" thing, but just saying if you know what to refer to it as - you must have had experience there. Perhaps - from the neighbors who originated the complaints. By the way - if there are complaints (like in multiple on the same things), they are usually true.
Please if you are going to quote me - use it in the right context it was intended for.
