I've lived in Parkwood Point Apt's for over 2 1/2 years and haven't experienced ANY of the problems some of the others have mentioned. There is NO drug traffic here, that's a flat out lie nor are their any thefts. At night both complexes are very well lit and it's a VERY safe community. The staff that handles both the Meadows and Parkwood Pointe are VERY friendly and if you have a maintanence issue it will be fixed within 24 hours, unless you have an emergency in which case they'll get to it immediately. I have nothing but good things to say about this community and I intend on living here for at least another couple years until I can afford a home of my own.
The only downside was at the Parkwood Pointe Apt clubhouse last year. A few of the teenaged tenants would take over the clubhouse at night and they ended up tearing up the pool table and leaving a mess, which resulted in management changing the locks as well as the hours. The clubhouse used to be open 24 hours and now is open from 6am to 10pm. It's sad that a few bad apples ruined it for the rest of us. (I don't think the trouble makers live here anymore as their haven't been any problems regarding this issue for about a year now) They've resurfaced the pool table and both weight rooms are in excellent condition as are both hot tubs and both media rooms. Free WiFi access available in both clubhouses has kept me from having to pay for internet service since I've lived here.
All in all both the Meadows and Parkwood Pointe apts are a great place to live and I would recommend either complex to anyone. The Meadows are a little more upscale and include gas fireplaces and granite coutertops and are much more expensive than PP, however, they are very very nice and if you can afford the rent, its definately the place to choose. Parkwood Pointe have wood burning fireplaces, but only on 3rd floor apartments. Compared to many of the apartments I've rented over the years, these are very well built and you will rarely hear your neighbors and that is very important to me. Maintenance is second to none and the staff is extremely nice and very helpful with whatever you need.
Don't believe the negative comments you've read below. I've lived here almost 3 years now and have experienced NONE of the issues they've complained about. I have a 1/1 on the third floor with washer/dryer, a fire place and a garage and I only pay 620 a month. You can get covered parking instead of a garage and you'll pay less. (as well as bring your own washer and dryer and that will reduce the price a little bit as well)
