A utility room was hooked up to our apartment causing our heat bill to exceed $115/month. While paying this amount our heat was not on and it was through the winter months. We payed for the entire building to have their pipes warmed and while this was not our fault, the owners refused to fairly compensate us. They were not honest about the estimates and amount of time the utility room was hooked up to our apartment. We spoke 3 times on the phone and then they began ignoring our calls and messages. While our experience is unique, you should know what you are getting yourself into. Other than this experience, we LOVED the managers, the laundry room sometimes got oil spots on our clothes, we had some mold, but we liked the apartment overall. Its not expensive in comparison to other apartments in the area so it is not the nicest place in the world, but the walls seem to be thick and you don't hear too much of your neighbors. The prices are going up and I don't think its worth the price (our horrible experince set aside).
