I don't even know where to begin... The first problems I noticed where that the stove didn't work, the shower could only run on scalding or cold, and the landlord wouldn't give me a key to the deadbolt. These problems were not fixed, at least not properly. The place is EXTREMELY loud, with music and neighbors literally screaming and their vistitors banging on the doors all hours of the day. And the walls are paper then. There are bimonthly roach sprayings. The smoke alarms are so sensitive that you cannot turn on the stove without them going off. My landlord's solution - disconnect them while cooking. The next concern is safety. I tried to order a pizza - they refused to deliver because their drivers had been jumped in the parking lot. Also, I woke up one morning to find the hallway covered in glass from broken lamps, holes in the walls, and gang signs carved into the walls. My landlord's suggestion - "Just don't open the door for strangers and you'll be fine." The final problem I have with this place is the landlord. He wants rent in cash, and he just drops by whenever on the 1st to pick it up. He drops by unnanounced often. Now that I've decided to move out, my apt. is being shown. My landlord called me 10:00am Sunday morning and said, "I'm showing your place in 10 minutes." So...this complex is great for you if you don't enjoy privacy, security, or functional basic amenities.
