I've been here in Arbor Lakes for almost five years simply because I like it very much. I'm not renewing this coming year because my boyfriend and I are buying a house, but if we weren't, I would stay right where I am.

Someone earlier said that rent goes up $100-$150 every year, that's very untrue. The average increase for my one bedroom with den apartment has been $55.

The maintenance staff has ALWAYS been very quick to respond to every issue I've had. In the last 4 1/2 years, I have a new fridge, balcony, garbage disposal and A/C. They offer nice upgrades ever year at your renewal too. Lighting, vertical blinds, paint, carpet cleaning, etc.

Lastly, the common areas are very nice. The pool is great, and the fitness center has just been upgraded, and parking has NEVER been a problem for me.

I've never once heard my neigbors except when they have the very occasional party during the summer. But since I've been here so long, I'm usually invited.

I am looking at renting an apartment here in December but I heard that there are some not so nice areas nearby. Were you ever concerned about safety there?
