I want to bring to your attention some facts about Archstone Arlington Heights, it is not worth the money!

1) The rent is ridiculous! We pay $1,100 per month for a 900 square foot 2 bedroom! The rent does not include hot water. Additionally, the laundry facilities are ridiculous! They charge $2.00 just to wash 1 load of clothes. It cost another $1.50 to dry! They issue these stupid Machine credit cards which is the only way to pay for your laundry. Of course the credit card machine only takes $5, $10, or $20 dollar bills. You cannot use singles or quarters, so if you have to do laundry and you only have quarters or singles, you have to go to the store to get change because the front office does not carry change! It is the stupidest thing I have ever seen as far as laundry!

2) The parking at Archstone Arlington Heights SUCKS! They assign us 1 spot per apartment. Of course no one abides by the rules. People park where ever they choose. I have seen people park in the wrong spaces for days. There are 2 open spots that are not assigned in front of the building that should be used for guests or people with more than 1 car per apartment but the people that live here that only have 1 car hog these free, open parking spots while the spots they are assigned in their leases remain open. These are the rudest most ignorant people I have ever met! Management does not care, they will just send the cops around to issue tickets for these that do not have a city sticker which does not solve the problem of people parking where they do not belong.

3) The hallways here are horrible. The walls are scuffed to hell and people leave trash outside their doors for days. We have lived here for over 7 months and since the first day we lived here the doors leading into the hallway are broke off the hinges. The security system does not work either. Maintenance has not fixed any of these problems. They do not plow when it snows and there has been a huge patch of solid ice in front of our building on the sidewalk which has not been salted.

AND ALL THIS FOR $1,100 per month' Beleive me, there are better deals in the area. We are out of here! You can spend less on a mortgage. Don't put up with this!
