Moved in not too long ago. Upon move in there were several issues with the apartment that I felt did not meet my standards. I spoke to management who did file a maintience order and these issues were dealt with in a timely matter. That impressed me. I have since accepted Ashton as my home and am comfortable with it. I have yet to experience summer was looking forward to it, until I received notice (along with everyone else in my building)that there is no using a grill on the patio. This is not what I agreed to when I signed my lease. I enjoy firing up the grill instead of cooking on the stove in the summer. I feel that this is totally not fair. Especially as this complex has now installed a sprinkler system and is going to install fire alarms in each and every apartment. This also has caused dismay. My very nice apartment is now scarred with these UGLY bright orange pipes running around the walls. The installers have done a sloppy job, leaving marks on the walls and clutter and dirt around my apartment. And now to find they have to come back to do further installation is an insult to injury. Please tell my Ashton, why, if you have all these precautions why oh why can't we grill on the patios' In reference to the staff, I consider them to be friendly and welcoming, all except for one, and I thinnk we know who that is. If you can't be cordial to your residents, you shouldn't be dealing with the public. I know this first hand and understand both sides a I work with the public, but no matter how I'm feeling, I must treat my public with courtesy. I hate calling and having to deal with this person. I will omit the name as a courtesy. As for location, it doesn't bother me as I don't really have any business in the neighborhood anyway. I feel this is a safe environment. I would recommend it to my friends/family, but it would receive rave reviews if these issues would be addressed. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I agree with you 100% on this review. I have lived at Ashton for three years. I must say it was managed alot nicer when it was Archstone. I know the person in the office you are talking about. I myself have had many encounters with them and find it very hard to deal with that person. The orange pipe is so nasty. There has been two holes put in my wall that were done on mistake. My hallway is very dirty. It is embarassing to have guests over. I hear it may be bought by someone else and the rude staff member will be getting terminated. I do not wish anyone to lose their job but enough is enough. Hopefully when it is bought out we can see postive changes at this complex. Best of luck to you .
