To anonymous: ofcourse you think Dana Point is wonderful,..you're a real estate agent! And/or you must be on a top floor unit. Dana Point is poorly managed,.the hallways look like morgues and the lobbies are from 1970. They piss away money on the "pool" & other stupid stuff and let the interior of these buildings deteriorate. I dare you to compare the interior of Dana Point to other condo's,..other condo's,.like Mallard Cove for instance,.have beautiful interiors. The other problem at Dana Point is: the buildings are so poorly constructed that you can hear someone fry an egg! You can hear it all! And if one is stuck in a unit other than the top floor,..then they get to hear their noisy neighbors above them dragging furniture and other obnoxious things they do when they are not suppose to. tenants (70%) are rude, self absorbed, sloppy, loud, obnoxious, arrogant & have no respect for others at all! the management office there,..does not give a rat's ass about anything other than their own agenda. Ditto for the idiots in the association.
I've been there 8 years,..I plan to move,...but right now it is not financially wise. Plus I am 8 miles from work.
So Mr. or Miss Anonymous,..you are either high, a liar, blind or totally misguided. I agree with the other negative reviewer 100%. Dana Point is a crappy place to live. If I see any prospective buyers,..I warn them. No one should be subject to that Hell hole.

You rock Mr. the pool is only for certain board members and their circle of friends. What do they care about the property as long as they are on the board and allow the management company to run the place into the gound for them, what's money to them, if we don't have enough up the assessments, scare the residents with special assessments (i.e.)new carpeting, talk is why not have a special assessment, so what if we budgeted a certain amount of money, we don't have to stick to a budget, in the mean time the roofs are leaking, we have potholes that need repair, vendors that overcharge us why because of our board and the management company tht seems to run the board. Dana Point in its day was a place to live in, now even the residents who have lived her well over 30 years are leaving for the condo's downtown AH/Mt Prospect.

Holy cow, has this place gone to pot. The new manager is a dictator along with her muscle a homeowner who works for the management company, how convenient, knows your business is arroganet, disrespectful to all the owners, thinks too much of herself, doesn't do her job. If possible stay away from DP go over to Central Park East, no self absorbed board members and their friends. This isn't going to stop unless the residents wise up and do something about the manager and the board members.
