I'll be writing my Dunton Tower observations here as they occur. There's very little information available on Dunton Tower. I wish there had been more info. on Dunton Tower before I moved in. First, let me state that MANY of the opinions written on this website are BS written by management of the apartment complex. I state this to let you know that I am ABSOLUTELY NOT manangement, I am a TENANT.

The first thing you need to know about Dunton Tower is don't move here if street noise bothers you. The street noise starts at about 5:30 am. This will be your wake-up time Monday thru Friday if you're sensitive to street noise. Even with your window closed the street noise is substantial. Living on one of the top floors of this building I thought I wouldn't hear the street noise. I was wrong. And MANY trucks use Vail Ave. as well. You don't just hear the trucks, you FEEL them. And the truck traffic starts in earnest around 5:45 am. The apartments tend to be a little stuffy so you'll like your windows open. And with your windows open the TRAFFIC NOISE will absolutely blow you away. (Unless you grew up in the city living on a busy street and are used to it!) One neighbor told me that the local bars close at 2:00am and she's awoken by the noise from the people...AND SHE'S ON A FLOOR HIGHER THAN ME! The traffic noise slows down around 7:00 PM as the business day winds down. Then during the evening and night you have your occasional loud traffic...mostly cars. But the occasional truck or motorcycle will wake you during the night to be sure. Again, if you're not comfortable with this level of noise don't move here.

One thing good I'll say is that the ceilings are pretty thick and you don't hear alot of footsteps or noise from your neighbors above. And the maintenance guy is OUTSTANDING. He came in an instant on a Sunday to help out with a problem. Also, I have yet to have any problem with parking in the garage.

I'll continue to provide info on Dunton Tower as time moves on. I do this because I was grateful to other posters (legitimate ones) who took the time to provide accurate info. on other apartments which was a great deal of help to me.

Thanks for the information...I just started looking for an apartment and was considering Dunton. Any more thoughts?!?!
