I really do like living here. I paid no attention to the complex stating that high-speed internet access would be available and did my own research on the subject. I found out that I am able to get SBC Yahoo DSL for only $30/month and it works great! I am not happy with the cable company (TVMAX) the prices are outrageous for what you get...a satalite cable connection that they claim is cable but gets cut out at all storms with the statement on your tv "searching for satelite".Rip-Off! But it is all that is available here. A satelite dish option is available at a high price! You have to show proof of $300,000 liability insurance, and they make you pay a $100 deposit even though you can not attach it to any part of your apartment but rather pay out of your pocket to buy all the materials needed to make it free standing, and all this has to be approved by the city and the apartment complex! It is not even a sure thing that you will even be able to get a signal if you are not faced the correct direction!! The management staff tends to be a bit snooty and unhelpful. They are pretty good with clearing the parking lots and walkways durring the winter months. I am pretty happy that I can control the heat in my apartment and even turn it off if I want to. Most other places I have lived have had the heat controlled by the office. I do not like the "central air" (wall until covered up) because it is way too loud. A noisy clank everytime it turns on and shuts off. The fitness center here is great. Very clean and nice people running it. Parking is good and the location of the apartment complex is stellar! Walls are thick in the apartment so I don?t hear people walking above me and nothing from the adjoining neighbors. Yet my apartment is next to the entrance door and I get the 'enjoyment' of hearing it slam when people enter and exit. I would reccommend this place to someone who is looking for a temporary residence of 1-2 years.
