next best thing to a house

This is the third complex in 3 years that I've lived in and I couldn't expect more. I'll probably stay here until I get a house. We do hear the people upstairs walking around but it's so different than what you hear in a two story house or even a condo. The air conditioner does thunk when it turns on but unless you have the hearing capabilities of a bat or something you don't really notice it. I don't know what some of these people expect from an apartment. You're not living in a bubble! There are lots of people around you and you are going to hear them at times. The plus side is that 90% of the residents are older and very very quiet. We've never had a noise problem. Parking is great and snow removal prompt. The landscpaing is very nice and I find the grounds people very friendly. Always saying hi and such. The office staff can get kind of snotty; when you first go in they give you cookies but once you sign the lease it's more like 'yeah, what'. But I've never had a problem with the apt so I don't have to deal with them. The apartments are huge and we have really beautiful oak cabinets and vanities in the bathrooms. The other residents are very friendly and nice and it's so close to the interstate. I really enjoy living here and would invite anyone who wants a quiet, homey place to check it out.
