IF YOU MUST RENT--GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I have lived here since March of '02 and my experience has gotten progressively worse ever since. Management was much better before the current property manager took over due to a staff transfer.
EXTREMELY POOR BUILD QUALITY! If you have any expectation of privacy or don't think that one should be able to hear his neighbor's every move--yes--every.. move, then please look somewhere else. As said in the other reviews, the walls here are very thin and provide no privacy at all. I have had to call the police 4x so far on my current neigbor because of loud music--at 1:00 am, and upon contacting management--nothing has been done. If you have a problem, the only way to address is to go through the corporate office in Maryland.
THEY CLAIM LUXURY--FAR FROM IT-- The appliances are at least 15 yrs. old, very anitquated and for what this place costs--should be updated. The only plus is the washer/dryer in the unit. The stove sucks, the fridge sucks and the dishwasher is basically good for warming plates, not cleaning them. After complaining and attempting to get newer applicances--guess what--no response!
DON'T GO NEAR THE POOL OR HOT TUB--unless you want a bacterial infection. The landscaping is marginal at best; only really kept up near the office. I had a dead bush in front of my patio that I asked to have removed for about a year, when I finally just decided to cut it down myself! That seems to be the approach here--self service!
NO UTILITIES INCLUDED--That's right, you pay for it all! And if you want high speed internet or digital cable--good luck because the wiring here is so antiquated it will take at least a couple of trips from the cable guy.
The area is really nice, but this place needs to go! I cannot wait until my lease is up in 5 mos. This place really is hell!

Is this a townhouse rental or a regular apartment? Try next time with writing down what things are absolute necessity to make you a comfortable tenant with a apartment complex and then express that to the rental office. I m pretty blunt in telling them that they will hear from me if any of my necessities are not handled accordingly and in that way you will not be making everything out of a issue but focus on your necessities only.

It doesn't matter if it is a townhouse or an apartment. This review is for the overall complex. I happened to have rented both there and they are equally bad. And to answer your next question, when I came back to rent (only complex where W&D are in the unit) I upgraded to a townhouse thinking it would be better but in fact was worse. Try to keep in perspective the purpose of this site - it's not to 'better' the apartment complex but rather to provide an opinion of the place from the renters point of view (and point out issues important to THEM). When 'necessities' are not addressed (as in the case with Waterford) then they become issues. Unresolved ones at that!
