The review comments in this website were pretty useful for me before i moved to this apartment and thought of sharing my comments for others to make a decision.
1. This apartment is located in a very nice, calm residential location which was my first preference and no regrets on my decision.
2. Since the apartments are being renovated, there are good deals if you move before winter which was little attractive but i wasn't keen on the deals rather interested in the security and comfort.
3. The apartments as such are good (esp. take a look at the renovated apts) and few things that i liked before accepting were washer/dryer inside the apt, heat/AC control within the apt, spacious individual storage room right infront of your house, kitchen size and walk-in closet. I relocated from CA and was expecting covered car parking but then realized most of the apartments doesn't have covered car parking facility.
4. The leasing office people are very friendly and will resolve your problems promptly. While moving, i had issues with heat and their 24/7 maintenance was helpful to log an issue and they were prompt the next day at 8 AM to fix it.
5. I liked the renovated tennis courts as it was pretty good to play and i enjoy playing in the court.
6. Coming to negatives,
a. The apartment wasn't that strong as i can hear people walking in the next floor which i didn't expect here.
b. This apartment doesn't have any elevator even they have apartments upto 3rd floor. I would rather prefer to have an elevator esp while moving.
c. I haven't heard any noises from other apartments as we have only 2 apartments in a floor which i kind-a liked but really it sometimes annoying to hear people walking above you.
Finally, coming to the rent, i found the rent to be reasonable but have to really watch out in the upcoming months to see how the service / facilities are maintained for the rent.
I would recommend you to look for all apartments in Arlington Heights / Buffalo Grove and evaluate the comments before making a decision. Good Luck !.
