They will try to screw you out of your security deposit

The lease we signed had VERY small print stating that if we did not include with our Notice of Intent to Vacate who the refund should go to and where it should be mailed, we would forfiet the deposit. We did as instructed, and they still sent the check made payable to everyone on the lease and then refuse to send a corrected check until the other is returned, even though by law our refund was due this past Sunday. The staff is rude, not only at the complex, but at the Chicago office as well. Noone is willing to help with anything and they treat their residents like crap.
My new apartment is just as nice, a fraction of the cost, decent office staff, and its all of 7 miles from this residence. Moving out of AMLI was the best decision EVER!
