Yikes!

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
This apartment started off great. I liked the sidewalks around the property for jogging, and I liked the big bathroom and deep bathtub. I also thought it was cool to have an exercise room.
Things changed when I had to deal with the office staff. They are rude because they just don't know how to deal with people. They seemed affronted whenever I had a problem. Their offices are unkempt. It's a nice touch that they're hiding away in the common area dining room every time I come into their offices. If it wasn't for the loud doorbell I don't think they'd even know anyone was there. Sometimes I see prospective residents being shown an apartment and cringe; it pains me to remember how I went on that very same walk and had no idea what I was getting into back then. I can always hear cars on route 34.. For you insomniacs, counting semi-trucks is like counting sheep: those of you who want to recreate that "in the city" noise can't do much better than this place! Also, the fitness center is a tropical 73-80 degrees, and the equipment is either broken or just plain bad. The mail comes at either 12 noon or 4 p.m. The screens on my windows don't fit properly. My smoke detectors are great at letting me know when I'm cooking.. just in case I didn't already know. Neighbors are strange.. probably because we're all walking around in the same, "How the heck did we get ourselves into this place'" daze.
From my point of view, this apartment complex is a sad story. It has the potential to be something better. Poor management has profound effects.. the little problems start to bother you that much more.
