This site has been brought to my attention and I had a few comments for those reading these reviews.

1. It is a known fact that other apartment communities post comments to make their communities look more favorable and others look bad.

2. You can be the best judge of a community and it's residents. I always tell anyone interested in renting anywhere to visit a community on more than one occassion and during several different times of day. You can see first hand for yourself what type of residents live on the community. The noise level. How clean the community is kept. If there are problems with kids or unfavorable guests. The best judge of where you will feel comfortable is you!

3. During a visit to the community, stop and ask a resident you see for comments on their experiences. They can give you the best answers. As with anything you are buying there will be positives and negatives. What may be a positive to you will be a negative to someone else. Get the information from a real resident, not someone who will only post an anonymous email address.

4. Check with your local police department regarding the area you are moving and what type of calls they have received for that area.

5. Read your lease before signing it and ask questions. Alot of disgruntled residents are actually disapointed when being held to their lease. Like any renter, you expect your management company to hold up their end of the agreement with maintenance and customer service, we expect our renters to hold up their end of the agreement and fufill their lease. If you feel you may have a special situation, ask before hand, alot of times, we can cater to your specific situation. This is much easier than trying to change a previous agreement.

Good luck to all of you out there searching for an apartment home. Use your best judgement - you after all know what you are looking for in an apartment home.

-----: I've lived in Amli at Oakhurst for two years. The people that are TRUTHFULLY rating the complex are the tenants. YOU are the one that is responsible for:

(1) Maintenance NOT responding to EMERGENCY calls. The first occurred on a Sunday morning. After discovering liquid feces flowing through the vent in the master bedroom (on to my bed), I placed an emergency call. YOUR CRACKERJACK MAINTENANCE MAN responded with "What would you like me to do about it?" (2) overflowing trash (3) people in your office NOT responding to, or even answering calls (4) maintenance people responding very SLOWLY to the constant problems in the apartment. The ONLY thing that you're interested in is getting into the pocket of your tenants. Need examples? (1) Changing the lease to require tenants to pay $20 to get into the workout room. (2) Charging $10 per tenant to attend the "complex garage sale". Huge turnout for that huh? (3) After YOU failed to respond to my emergency call, and I had to face water pouring through the ceiling and a flooded apartment, you showed up 4-1/2 hours after I had placed the call. Your first response to me was not.."I'm sorry", but rather "You should rent one of our (high priced) garages". (4) Water bills doubling overnight and you failing to take action. Your words were "Just pay it". My rent was there for every month of my 2 year stay in your complex, and you treated me like garbage. Many tenants feel the same way. I've been around when prospective renters have stopped in to look at apartments. NEVER, and I mean NEVER have your rental agents let those people out of their site (to speak to me or any other tenant). You're a poor excuse for a manager, and not qualified to handle the job of managing this complex.

Finally, how would you know that other apartment complexes post negative comments about their competition? Takes one to know one, right -----? Pathetic!

I have lived here for nine months now and never had any problems. The maintenance is really good. Whenever i'v had problems the ppl have helped me out. I love this place even though my office is 26 miles away...why do u think I drive that long? Jus bcoz this place is better than most out there...!!!

The fact that ----- has to stoop to posting postive comments to counter the some 40 negative comments about her poorly run ghetto community is proof in itself that it blows! It blows my mind that she and the rest of the idiots are still employeed by this place. Just talked to a former Amli employee and they surprisingly agree. Advice if you live there is always obtain legal counsel to assit. They are too dumb to to fight very hard. They will bully you and hope you give in.

My daughter lives there and I agree with the tenants. The place is less than desireable. Maintenance is pretty poort. Unfortunately the kids need to stay at Nancy Young (right across the street) so they're stuck. Regarding Water & Gargbage bills, most apartments include that in the rent. Amli does not have individual water meter, which they say each unit has it's own, but they portion it out. Gone for 1 month, so no water usage, still she got quite a bill. Yes, they are taking the tenants money but how do you stop them ???

I couldn't agree with the first post more!!!!! ----- you are a joke and I can't wait to get out of here. I am friends with many residents here and every single one of them has a bad story about you. I don't know how you keep your job here. You blame residents for everything and don't fix any problems. The funniest and best part of it all... Your own staff has even told me how unproffessional you are. I have heard almost every maint. man in the last two years complain about you and 3 of your office staff say how much they hate you and how they could do your job better. Maybe you should go work someplace you can handle.
