Not as bad as others make it out to be...

So like any educated consumer, anything that i am going to spend money on, i am more than willing to spend the time to research it, SO READ THIS. I once heard something about the restaurant business, someone has a good experience, they tell one or two close friends, if they have a bad experience, around 9 people are told. Your living situation is something very serious, so take this review seriously. Like an apartment community, there are ups and downs, and you have to understand that you are not moving into a house, but an apartment. All of the people who have complained about this property are people who have caused problems for themselves, its clear in what they write. I have been here for two years now and am thinking about moving away, and thats how i came across this site. I cannot believe that only 26 percent of people would recommend this place. Now keep in mind, that percent is of the people who have written on this site, not of the people who have lived here.
Noise has never been an issue. The person living above me plays the electric guitar, in other apartments, including the last college apartment i lived in, you would be able to hear it loud and clear. It has never been an issue however, only with no noise in my apartment at all (no tv, music) can i vaguely hear it.
One thing that they are not so good about is the garbage area, it is pretty much overflowing eighty percent of the time, but i have bigger things to stress over than what the garbage area is looking like. Also, people are less than efficient in picking up after their pets, BUT this is only an issue if you live by a dog building, which are tucked away in the corner. I do live in a dog building, and they just recently put out a notice about fines being issued to people who do not pick up after their pets. Those are my only two complaints.
I've had one issue with the office staff, and they were actually understanding about the issue, and corrected it.
It's not a ghetto at all. I hardly see any of my neighbors around the community, and when i do, they are friendly and say hello. Just don't be fooled by people who cause problems themselves and b**** about it on this site. They are just bitter, and this site is a place just for that, you want to know what its like to live here, ask someone who lives here now. If you feel up to it, drive over here and ask someone you see walking around what they think... thats really the only way you'll know. Oh, and parking is not a problem for me, i ALWAYS get a spot right in front of my unit, no matter the time of day.
The amenities are awesome though. Indoor pool is open year round, and the twenty four hour fitness center is more than enough for a great workout, and they just put in a new treadmill. I personally am very satisfied here.

The review is right, this is an apartment. I've never had so much liability placed on me and the staff act as though this is a house. I had to ask and ask for them to clean the sidewalks off in the wintertime. My apartment is in the back, and the sidewalk was not cleaned to a satisfactory level. There were at least 2 times when I had to clean the sidewalk because I was tired of walking on ice. Both I and my girlfriend fell, and I just plain got tired of dealing with it and the office. I've never been anyplace that has that type of attitude toward their costumers. Amli sent out a letter stating they are not at fault if you fall- nice, I also guess that is when they gave up removing ice on the sidewalk. I still have pictures if anyone wants to challenge me on this.
