I've lived in the Amli apartments for over 2 years. The maintenance department is one of the best things about the complex. The apartments are really cold if you live by the forest preserve area. I love the full size washer and dryer. The bathrooms are large for a one bedroom. In addition, parking is terrible if your apartment building is full. Most people have 2 cars and it's horrible if you have company, but overall you get alot for your money: washer/dryer, dishwasher, computer lab, workout center, indoor/outdoor pool, option of garage and storage areas. We are moving into a larger unit in several months!!! Oh, I forget the GARGAGE RECIPRICAL is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It appears that there is only one for the entire complex. So sometimes (especially holidays) the garbage is piled up to the ceiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im glad maintinance was good for you however they didn't clean out any of the mold from our broken water heater which took 3 different maint. ppl to fix on 7 trips. My husband actually had to go tell him how to fix it. Then we had NO hot water for almost 2 months!!! The only reason it finally got fixed was because I asked for -----'s bosses name and threatened to file a report with the state. She avoided my calls and even 3 other staff members told me how she was avoiding me and how bad they felt for me. They even went so far to tell me how unproffessional she and the maint. staff are. Those comments came from the staff here not just me. Im not looking for free rent because we have more than enough money, but their policy is that if a water heater has broken and it isn't fixed after the 2nd visit then your rent is free until it is fixed. Well according to their policy we should have had about 7 weeks of free rent and we didn't even get one day for free. After talking to many of my neighbors every single one of them had a bad experience with her or whitney. I aggree that everything else is pretty good and other than the 2 office staff members I do like living here. Oh and the maint. never came out to take care of the over 15 beehives that we found on just four apart.'s the office said it was their job but they never did it. We all went out and shared the cost of stuff to kill them because they were so bad we couldn't even get to our doors without being attacked by them.

The policy of free rent is in the sales pitch to make you feel comfortable to sign the lease, nowhere in the lease does it say the will reduce rent based on problems. Buyer beware!
