Can't wait to leave. . .

My husband and I moved in a year ago, and have had one problem after another.
To start with when we first agreed to live here we were told everything was in order, and that we could come and sign the paperwork the following week. One week before our move ( we'd broken lease and started packing already) we got a call from our "salesman" telling us that we had no place to live because a problem with the paperwork. We got mad, and he assured us all we had to do was file a form and it'd be all settled. We did, and long story short the same thing happened AGAIN two days before our move. After much yelling and forms we were able to sort it out and get our lease signed. We even got swindled into the 15 mo. lease at the last second with a line about how great the rent was and how it would save us money in the long run. . .
We were told all about their " FANTASTIC" relocation plan that allows you to move to another AIMCO property at no penalty. So a month ago we decided to go through with our relocation to Florida. We talked to several people about the details and had everything sorted out to move to another aimco property. I called the manager here to give our 30 day notice according to the policy, and she told me, " ok, so to relocate you'll owe us the money we gave you as a discount on your rent." I was blown away. She told us that we owed them $2750 to "break" our lease. I told her we weren't breaking our lease, we were using the relocation plan we were told about. SHe fed us a line about how we were breaking the lease, but not really'!'
Long story short, in the 11th hour we had to pull our whole plan and stay here until feb. What really kills me is the fact that we wouldn't even have this problem on a 12 mo. lease!! It would be done with next week.
This was only one of many problems. Maintenance coming in without permission. Issues with suspected mold that they wont do anything about and were plain rude about. Their "Good neighbor agreement" is a total crock. The person above me is a single mom with two kids, and it is like living under a stampede. Then to make matters worse she got a puppy!! It barks and whines and howls for hours at a time, day an night. Her kids literally shriek off the patio after her when she leaves them home alone in the middle of the night!! When I called about it to complain management called me unsympathetic to her issues, and blew me off entirely.
We got a ticket for having CDs in our car because it was unsafe!!
People hang around the lot all day, looking very suspect.
The list goes on and on. . .
We can't wait to leave!! Spare yourself the misery.
