i lived at 'The Glen' for a little over 3 yrs. my stay was what i would consider "comfortable". the construction is ok - you can hear some shouting from time to time but nothing that's really intolerable. the floors are solid (no squeaking at all). the units can use some new appliances and some new cabinetry, in my opinion. they've done a good job with the exterior, which definitely needed a facelift. since they seem to jack up rent pretty significantly, they should start working on the interior of these buildings. there's probably nothing that makes this place stand out from other $900 1 BR apts., but then again there's nothing that makes it lesser of a place. i would recommend it to someone willing to shell out about $200 more than they should have to, but that goes for all West Suburbs apts.
