Horrible management

My fiancee and I had moved here with our son because the floor plan was great. 2 huge bedrooms and 2 good sized bathroom plus the washer and dryer. It was a great price for the area and close to where we both worked. From the time we moved in to the day we moved out it was nothing but problems.
----- the manager didn't care about anything. Our neighbors above us were up stomping and screaming all the time and their dog was viscous. We heard the dog attacking the owner one night. We complained every day for the first 2 months and nothing ever happened. It even stated in the lease that if an animal is causing problems that they owner would have to get rid of it. Well she never did anything about it. She even told me that I had never made a complaint about it! Oh an not to mention that none of the management lives on the property so they don't care what happens.
Crime is horrible there. We had drug dealers on the 3rd floor of our building, another thing the lease said they wouldn't allow, and gang member on both the 2nd and 3rd floor of our building. We had left very early one morning and walked out to a gang fight! One guy came stumbling past me and my son all bloody and beaten! Luckly the cops showed up cause who knows what would have happened. Another night we had a guy so strung out on drug try breaking into our neighbors across the hall and he did get into the neighbors next to us. He then ran into another apartment on the 3rd floor and tried to fight off the cops. It was pure chaos and again ----- denied it ever happened! Our car was egged and stuff was stolen off our patio.
If you plan on being able to park in front of your building, good luck!!! We almost never got to park by our building cause parking was so bad. In the winter the sidewalks are never plowed so your walking in huge piles of snow. Also there is no lighting so its dangerous at night.
If you try to get anything fixed it never happens. Maintenance is a joke. If you have an emergency after office hours it takes them at least 2 hours to come out and another 3 weeks to get it fixed. We had to have the fire department bust our door down when the lock on the patio door broke. Our apartment flooded when ever it rained and our dishwasher never cleaned anything. Our sink disposal was broke when we moved in and took a month to get fixed and every time we used our oven our smoke detector went off.
Another bad side of the winter there is the sprinklers for fires always froze so the fire alarm would go off at all hours and you would have to wait outside until the fire department said it was safe to go back in. It went off about 6 times one cold night. So be prepared to freeze outside cause they go off all the time in the winter.
If you are trying to save money it won't happen here. Your rent is never the same because they charge you water. They don't give you a water bill they just tell you what you owe for it. One month they said we used over $120 in water. I later found out that they owed the gas company over $40,000 and that they were adding extra to the water bills to pay it. I don't think our water bill was ever under $80 a month. Every other apartment we lived in our water, electric, and gas never added up to more that $80 a month!
I guess to sum it all up there is NOTHING good about this complex. Its not worth saving a little money to live here. Your always worried about something bad happening or if your car is safe.

Yes, I completely agree with the above comments. I just paid $170 towing fee. There was not a single parking lot available and we went away frm our buildng and we parked and still got the vehicle towed. The management is so horrible that there was only one person available and she has no idea if my car was towed or stolen!!!! Then she made couple phone calls to the other management personnel and then they got the record books and she comes up saying that she has good news to us and that our car is towed and not stolen..and the apts are aint the safe place at all...Dont ever think about taking walks during night time as there are no lights and its not SAFE. Please take these comments seriously and dont even think about this apts.

I agree with both of these comments. I am so glad I had a short term lease best decision I made was to figure out if I would like it there by doing a three month lease. Hunters Glen is the worse place to live EVER! You might as well go across the street to Legacy or Amli and get what you pay for and receive better management. The only reason I looked at these apartments is for the price, now I understand why they have good prices because the apartments sucks and so does the staff. The entire office staff is a joke. I worked with some girl named --------- she lied about everything, I was suppose to have extra storage and did not have any. I also was suppose to have a garage and it was not ready the day I moved in. They will tell you anything to get you to move in this place! Do they interview these people of just hire them, one of my friends has lived here longer than I have and there are different people in the office every time they go in there, if your staff changes regularly obviously there is a problem with management overall. PLEASE LOOK AT OTHER APARTMENTS, DO NOT RENT HERE!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
