O.K., let's just say that the utility bills are average. If you are a very budget-minded person, get a townhome because they are more efficient. The reason being, first floor apartments are on a cement slab. Otherwise, they are no more than any other place...
As for the late fees. It is the law that a 5-day notice (not an eviction notice) be posted on your door. I didn't like doing it either, the we all have to follow the law. As for the late fees, and bounced check issues. A) Don't bounce checks, B) Read your lease, and C)Welcome to the real world! Good luck finding any other community that gave you the customer service that our staff gave you!

P.S. If you had a $150.00 gas bill, you should have either called Nicor because that is unusually high, or the staff and we would have made sure your system was operating properly.
