Hello,
I would like to describe my disgust for this place, we had many for the same problems that others are reporting on this site as well as others. First was the ants there were thousands of them and in our food in the cabinets a lot of the time, we reported it and nothing was done, i had to caulk all around the cabinets, countertops and electrical outlets. The mold was everywhere you could smell it in the bathroom and see it all around. When it rained it leaked in multiple areas of the apt. and caused mold to be shot out of the ventilation system that left stains not only on the ceilings but on the walls and carpet as well.( which they blamed it on a pet urination problem) When asked to fix this problem the asked us to just move stuff out of the way of the falling water not fix it. they took over a month to get in there to try to fix it. The parking was a joke, other tenets would have like 5 or more cars parked there and i would have to park sometimes on the other side of the complex if i came home after 8 pm. Then was the security issue the security door to get into the building was always broke and was only locked once in a blue moon. There was gang symbols spray painted on the walls inside the building two months after we moved in and they were still there after we moved out. But the 2 things that get under my skin the most are the fact that they did nothing about the mold even with my wife living there being pregnant, and claiming that it would cost more to clean the carpets than to replace them and taking my entire security deposit and wanting a few hundred more to replace the carpet that the mold damage cause(not the pet urine like they claimed). Because of all of these things we have decided to try for a class action law suit against Lorlyn. OMG I am reliving this nightmare over again. I would like to say the same thing happened to me. I filed a complaint with the Dept of Human services complaining about my rights being violated. THEY are investagating but I would love to be involved in your class action suit. I have a horror story to tell also. They are disguisting, and should be put out of business so they can not harm or hurt anyone else

10 years ago I moved from there with the exact same trouble, my 2 year old son lost his finger nails due to a mold fungus, our leak was from the roof and from the 3rd floor bathtub drain being disconnected. We finally left after 3 months of this broke the lease and lorlyn had the balls to sue! we filed complaints with every government agency and nothing was ever done. I have video of the water and mold in this place, I by trade am a home inspector It really makes me angry that the city of Batavia will not condemn this place as it is a health and safety hazard.
