I have lived at Linden Towers for nearly four years. The building is about 14 years old, fairly well sound-proofed (windows are double-glazed), but you will hear jet engines as the property is located on the southwest corner of O'Hare Airport. You will also hear train whistles quite frequently. There is a busy train yard only a half-mile away. Parking, which used to be ample, has become tighter within the past year as tenants may no longer use the village lot across the street from the property. The landlord is trying to sort this out, however. Try to get a south-facing unit; these have nice views of a residential area and probably are somewhat quieter. If you need lots of bells and whistles (i.e. gym, business center, pool), look elsewhere. The only real amenity here is a room that can be rented out for parties. All in all, I have lots of good memories here and am somewhat sad to leave.

The South-facing unit idea was a good one! Thanks for this tip! I would only add to get an upper floor south-facing unit, to try to reduce some of the noise from Green street.
