I think the apartments are reasonable, but the big problem with the entire complex is the class of people that reside here.

Like most I was treated to a great tour by the staff. I was reasonably impressed with the grounds and the building was ok. Also, I toured the building during the daytime before the thugs and other low class people were around. It seemed quiet and decent to live in.

Until my first week.....
The sound of my upstairs neighbor urinating, playing his radio until 3am, and slamming his patio door. Again like many reviews it seems most people do not work who live in this complex.
I cannot imagine that others pay the same amount of rent that I do and cannot have a job.

The carpets in the hallway are dirty, there is a long striped stain of who knows what running from a distant hallway to the elevator. And one of the other reviwers mentioned that the 110 building smells, it does. Smells like urine and nasty burned food.

The elevators are horrible, every other day there is garbage left behind in the hallway, or splattered on the wall. I am amazed at the way the other residents treat the place they live. I guess the California riots are the best example of trashing your own neigborhood.

Ok, on to the positive.

I have updated appliances, and they all work well and are very convenient. I have new flooring in the kitchen and bathroom and it was put in well. I requested a repair to the porch and it was handled the same day.

The utilities are suspect, and the charges for my individual unit are reasonable, but I have heard horror stories of giant bills. I honestly do not use electricity or water more than the next guy so I do not know what the other individuals are doing for their bills to be so high.

The people on my floor are ok, but I have had several suspicious people cruise through the building in search of something.... Some have even knocked on my door looking for somebody that doesn't live there anymore, probably a high profile person that used to sell certain product.

My advice is to shop around and live in another suburb, unless you absolutely have to live in Bensenville, look elsewhere.
