I've lived in 4 apartments in my lifetime, but so far this is the best for the price. There's almost no noise between apartments, maybe only if a neighbor is talking near a window. They have an over-21 policy that eliminates obnoxious young renters. Heat and water are included, which is great - some 30 degree winter days we have to open a window to cool off a bit. There are 9 washers and 9 dryers on the 4th floor, so you can get a pile of laundry done quickly if the room is empty. The courtyard is pleasant except for occasional honking geese parties.

Downsides' The location is on the edge of H*ll, by which I mean Glendale Heights. We have had no problems with crime at Wilshire, but go south of Army Trail towards Glen Ellyn Ave. and you are inviting trouble. Someone complained that the management is cold, and they can be, but repairs get done and questions answered. I've noticed a lot of immigrants are tenants, but they stay friendly and quiet enough.
