My husband, young daughter and I stayed here for 8 weeks while our new house was being cosntructed. We sold our previous house early and needed a temporary place to stay. This was really the only place in town that would do month-to-month leases, so our options were limited.
We rented a two-story townhouse with two bedrooms upstairs. The layout was OK, but the building seemed at least 20 years old and in desperate need of repair. The bedrooms were nice and large, but the upstairs bathroom was small. The kitchen was in bad shape-- warped cabinets, outdated appliances, just small and dark. Our fridge freezer did not keep things frozen. The deadbolt locks on the doors had been removed, so I never felt very safe. Most of the neighbors were very friendly and kind, as I stayed home during the day with my daughter. But we did observe a nearby apartment dweller who seemed to be selling drugs late at night. Lots of cars pulling up with their headlights off, etc.
On weekends, some residents will sit around the parking lot and blast music from their cars. Location of the apartment complex is great, but I just wish they would invest more in updating the units.
They advertise two swimming pools and a playground, but neither of the pools worked while we were there and the "playground" is a dump... basically a tire sitting in wood chips. The tennis courts are run-down, too.
We had several experiences with the staff... two of the women are very nice and accomodating. But one woman was very rude to my husband and actually added stipulations to the contract AFTER he signed it... that is illegal!
Overall, we were not impressed with this place. I would gladly have paid extra to live somewhere nicer and safer, but no one else offers month-to-month leases. I was very happy when we moved out! I feel sorry for the people who have no choice but to live there.
