I've been here since early 2007 and have little complaints. I apparently came in after new owners and a new manager so I can't really vouch for before 2007. The apts are a bit dated but well kept. I had maint look at my a/c because it wasn't working and it was taken care of the same day. I can say that parking can be congested at times but there is always a spot somewhere. Overall, Lakewood is a good price for what you get and is in a great location.
