The staff is rude and don't come if anything that needs to be fixed. The tenent's are rude and are drug dialers and there is even a sex offerender living here and even a hoooker. It is a getto. Cars even get broken in to. The Blue Island Police even don't like to come here. They say it's like working on the west side. You will be scaried to even leave your apartment at night. DO NOT MOVE TO BLUE ISLAND.

I will keep that in mind. I feel extremely sorry for you. My sister lived on Florence almost twenty years. She moved back in 2005 and stayed their until a few months into the year 2007. I have heard that anywhere outside of downtown is bad. The town used to be beautiful until the late 60s. In the 90s, I used to visit my sister's house. I had to literally close my eyes, wear a blindfold, or sunglasses whenever I went to and from my car. How can you sleep at night? The vintage homes are falling apart. I wonder if there are ghosts wandering around. They look like real, haunted houses. The house across from my sister's former dwelling really scares the s--- out of me! The paint on the bricks is coming off and the windows on the sides of the home are painted an ugly shade of yellow. It's a 1914 American Foursquare home. I looked it up at cookcountyassessor.com. Okay, I'll take your advice and not move to Blue Island.

My response is why did you stay so long, from 1994-2007. I lived there from 2005 until now, but don't get me wrong it depends on what building you lived in and your neighbors. The children are bad as hell over there and the parents are too busy trying to be their children's friends. The maintenance crew are wonderful, the tone and the way you speak with a person is the way they will respond to you.
