Wow! I have lived here for 2 years and have lived in many different communities throughout the years in the suburbs and I couldn't be more pleased with AMLI at Chevy Chase and would live at any AMLI.

I looked in this area because Buffalo Grove and the surrounding areas are very upscale-look at the home values!! People here all seem to be between 25 and 40 and professionals.
I always judge apartments by how the cars in the parking lot look-nice cars-nice people! I also consider the people that work in the office. These people always seem to care about any questions I have-not the indifference I've dealt with in other places.
They have resident get togethers constantly it seems and we have a great time! My neighbors are friendly and I've made some terrific friends here.
The place feels more like a neighborhood than a complex. Lots of trees and grass, right on the golf course. The prices are high but I pay more to live in a good neighborhood and I know that the management screens people well if my neighbors are any indication.
People should realize that apartments are never soundproof-you always hear some things-that's hilarious that people think they'll live in total silence. I chose this place because I wanted the concrete between floors that they offer and the fact that the wall that is shared with my neighbors is the one behind my cabinets in the kitchen and bath and in the back wall of my closet-not sure how they are hearing that much noise! They must have noisy neighbors and should probably call the office.
I looked up the crime stats for the area and they are so low that a crime would be big news here-another reason I chose to live here. I've not noticed the parking lots being overly dark but then I'm not afraid of every little thing-I lived downtown for 8 years.
Anyway, my apartment was in perfect condition when I moved in just like they promised. I've never moved in to a cleaner apartment anywhere and that is saying something. Places always show you a gorgeous model and then your apartment is worn out-not here!
The only problem I ever had was a dripping drain and they fixed it the same day and left me note as to who did it and asking me to call if I had any questions-wow!
If you can afford to live here and you're not a big cry baby, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

Kathy, you obviously haven't been here for a while if you think this place is great. It may have been 4 years ago but since then Chase Bank has become the owner and the old manager left and was replaced by a brainless middle aged barbie doll type with an english accent, no doubt to give it a luxury appearance. This place is AWFULL!!!!!!!!!!
