Hi All,
I too fell into the trap at AMLI. Not only was I not explained about the lease, the manager was completely unprepared to talk about it. When she did , she directed me to her boss. Who expressed complete arrogance. I called and left messages with the Apt owners, and never got a response. I had stayed in the Apt for 45 days, and due to unforeseen circumstances I had to move. The management wouldn't budge, they needed 4200 USD to break the lease!!
The apt was in pristine condition and yet..... I called everyone and got the same response, "I can do nothing". Terrible place. I understand that I signed a lease. But what about being human' what about sensibilities' One response from a lady staff should really be etched in brass in their office "I am at the office, There is a holiday party, I cannot meet you!!" and this takes the cake, the manager said "the only time I can cut some slack on a lease is when an occupant dies!!" and I am not making this up. These are exact words.
It was a terrible stay, but I learnt my lesson. No more dilly dallying with apt staff. I have no mercy for them. I do feel like an ass, but I need to protect myself first, i could care less for some inhuman bank and its high school educated staff.
