I liked living here

The Wheatlands is a nice place to live. The buildings and grounds are well maintained, and the pool and fitness room are very nice. The location is OK, but not extremely close to shopping or other conveniences. Rent is high, but it's Buffalo Grove, so what else would you expect'
Office staff leave a lot to be desired. I never, in the 3 years I lived there, felt like the office staff recognized me as a resident and not just someone coming in off the street.
I would recommend using the plastic sheeting insulation on your windows in the winter, because heat is expensive and the windows are drafty.
My main complaint would have to be the neighbor noise from upstairs and downstairs. People who lived near me seem to have pianos, so I could hear their kids practicing through the walls. Not overly disruptive, but still a bit annoying.
There is a walking/bike trail all the way around the complex, which is really nice if you want to get some exercise. BUT there are so many ducks and geese that the walkways are covered in goose poop. I kind of like the animals, but wish the maintenance staff would spend some time cleaning that up on a regular basis.
Overall, I recommend this place.
