No apartment is perfect but I found the Wheatlands to be a nice place to live. The only reason I moved was to buy a house.

Having read some of the previous comments about the parking lot, it really must depend on where you live in the complex. There was never a problem parking within a four or five spaces from my front door, at any time day or night. And there are plenty of garages available.

I found the staff, both maintainence and office to be very efficient and friendly. They knew me by name and everytime I dropped off my rent, asked if how things were in my apartment. The apartment was very spacious and I'm already missing my beautiful view.

There were definitely some issues, the worst being in the winter. I had to put plastic on my bedroom window in the winter because of the drafts. The windows need to be replaced. On the other hand, they do a great job clearing the snow and ice. The appliances were fair. My washer and dryer were great but the dishwasher and fridge were not. The cabinets are outdated, but well maintained. The common areas were recently renovated and look nice. I hardly heard my neighbors, except the people upstairs who walked like elephants. I never heard anyone else's TV or stereo.

As a single female, I felt very safe in my apartment and the complex.

And finally, whenever I was at the pool it was clean and well maintained. It's also a great place to meet neighbors. Before renting at the Wheatlands, I looked at 27 places. Even though the price is a bit high, I think it is the nicest place around, and would have renewed my lease had I not become a homeowner.
