I have lived in the Wheatlands for three pleasant years now. I looked at the competition in the surrounding suburbs for the features I wanted / needed after living in 3500 SQFT home in Northbrook. Clean, functional space was first priority. My next criteria included central air, dishwasher, disposal, balcony that I could grill on, washer and dryer.

What I did not realize is that I personally would miss were the elongated toilets and ice maker. Feature wise everything else is there. There is a functional fitness room, a decent pool, lots of land and terrific staff that continually takes care of everything. The landscaping is constantly maintained, the buildings have full time maintenance crews that are as nice as can be and take care of everything on a timely basis.

The office staff and property manager are very friendly, accommodating, always available, responsive to residents needs and always make sure that the things that need to be done get done. My packages are always received in my absence and my cleaning crew is let in to do their thing without any problems, hassles or delays.

The Wheatlands is pleasant safe place for families as more and more have moved in to what once was known as the place for divorced dads. I have seen some people blast the buildings for maintenance issues. How ridiculous as they are not new and every home has maintenance issues, but in this one you do not have to pay for the repairs or do the work! More importantly the work gets done!
