I have lived in these apartments for six months, and let me say, it is way too expensive for the value they're providing.

Cons:
1.) Noisy neighbors upstairs. Management takes NO interest in resolving the issue. They say they'll make a call, and then the people upstairs are FRUSTRATED that we're complaining. This is after we initially had different tenants living above us who were very friendly. GET A TOP FLOOR!! If they push you for 2nd or 1st floor, DENY IT, because you'll be kicking yourself in the face when you get an ******* living above you.

2.) Grounds are cramped and concrete everywhere. It's as if there are no trees or grass anywhere. It's all just parking and garages.

3.) Staff are all about plastic smiles. They seriously need someone to call the corporation and clean house here and put some normal human beings. These women need a reality check to connect with their tenants and resolve real problems that face the apartment community they're running.

4.) The moment you ask them about breaking the lease, their tone changes on the move-in day.

5.) NO UTILITIES INCLUDED. You even pay for trash. I mean, come on!

6.) The garage is too expensive per month, and they charge you a surcharge if you only want your garage for PART of the year. They collect money left, right, and center.

Pros:
Nice apartments. Washer and dryer in unit. Pretty updated and clean. Spacious, although you're paying a lot. Close to major companies and employers if you work in the area. Close to Metra.

I suggest anyone who has an issue with this property complain about it to the corporation and get them to come out here and see for themselves what they're doing wrong. Maybe they'll clean house.

I couldnt have agreed more with you. The moment you move-in...Day 2..the woman are horrific! Speak about lease breakage and they will not even fix your repairs. Aweful complex, would not recommend to anyone. I am trying to move out of the complex for months and no one wants to even take over my lease once I say I am at the "Wheatlands"
