SIckened by the constant smell of ------ food. And more....

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I've lived here almost three years and the ONLY reason I stay is because I have a two car garage. The ------ people who are taking over the place seem to cook food that is very pungeant and invades everywhere into my apartment. The building designers left out exhaust fans for the kitchens. If I attempt to cover it with air deodorizer I get complaints that I'm trying to cover up something I am doing. They tell me they didn't renew a lease for a tennant who lived down the hall due to complaints about the cooking odor but then a few months after they leave another takes their place. I'd rather someone put a bag of dog feces and shove it up my nose. This odor makes me ill. I am considering seeking legal counsel to break my lease. This is "HELL".
The day they needed to enter apartments to change smoke sensors a notice was posted that they would need to enter at 8AM. I made a plan to go out early for work so they would not come in when I'm getting ready or showering. At 7:45AM the maintenance starts pounding obnoxiously on all doors and opens my door when I'm still not dressed. This was a breach of my rights as a leasor. And working for a reputable north shore security company I can tell you this guy I would not trust in my home alone.
No matter how long you live here they do not maintain furnace filters nor do they let you know you should have it done. After one year I changed my own moldy filter which made me question if they even change it between tennants. This is a serious health and safety risk. Furnaces with bad filters overwork themselves and can cause fires and explosions.
For the first year I tolerate black crud in the dishwasher on my dishes after they said it was me putting in dirty dishes. My second request resulted in a more skilled maintenance technician who found the crud in the trap & pump and cleaned it out.
All my time here I've tolerated the worst washing machine ever. No matter how light the load is the thing walks all over the room. They claim I am putting in too many clothes and won't resolve it. I've lived in several nicer places and at 42 I've been using washing machines for over 30 years. They do not wish to spend any money to get me a new one regardless of the yearly rent increases.
I don't think they care. If you complain you will get people making up things about you and they don't care to verify for themselves, they just write you a insinuating letter.
