Moving to HLT seemed like a great idea. I have never been more wrong. First of all you can hear everything going on in your upstairs or downstair neighbors apartment because all the walls and ceilings are paper thin. Then, if there's kids who live above you....WATCH OUT. You'll hear every skip, run, jump and bump they make. And it's a waste of time to complain to the management office, that is, if you're a black tenant and the neighbors making all of the noise are white. The Community Manager couldn't be more racist and one sided if she wore it on her shirt. It got so bad I had to write letters to the corporate office a couple of times to complain because complaints to management were being ignored. It's definitely the best place for the money in the area, but you know how the saying goes "you get what you pay for". I am so happy that my lease is about to be up soon. I have been living a nightmare and I'm about to wake up. Thank goodness I will never be waking up to Hinsdale Lake Terrace ever again in my life.

Honestly if I were a white kid and living in this predominately black apartment complex, I would NEVER leave my apartment! Therefore, I would probably waste all of the energy I had jumping around and playing inside. So I guess I could see why the management gave the unfortunate white family a break. I never see any white children playing outside. It's just too dangerous.
