I moved in to HLT about 5 months ago. So far it has been okay. The maintenance team is quick (I have only had to call them twice) and the office crew is friendly. If you are new to these apartments do not expect to see the actual unit you will move into until the day you move in. They only show you the model. (which is beautiful) The actual apartment has a so-so paint job (crew painted over door hinges and vents) and the fixtures are a bit out dated. Everything works though. The hallways are drab and usually dirty (cleaning crews come about once a week or so) Parking can be a little rough for visitors (if guests are not parked in visitor spots and have to HLT sticker they will be towed) With this complex you get what you pay for. It's a cheap apartment in a nice neighborhood - you can't expect to get steak when you paid for ramen noodles, no matter how nice the restaurant.

You make some good points but turn around and contradict them. You should not have to call maintenance twice, so-so fixtures and poor paint jobs are not acceptable anywhere, and constant dirty hallways attracts rodents. HLT has gotten lower than ramen noodles. I have lived here since before they began accepting section 8 and the things I see now are ridiculous. The management and safety patrol just turn the other cheek at everything. All of the guidelines in the lease are not being upheld at all. I would recommend all ghetto people to live here...after I leave. Give it some time reo_star, you will be leaving right behind everyone else.
