I lived in the Quads all of my sophomore year (2003)... moved in without researching my options and just wanted to get out of the dorms. This place is just terrible...

My biggest complaint was the staff. They are unbelievably unprofessional. I lived with 2 other girls, and we had to put a $900 (!!) deposit on a two bedroom apt. When next summer rolled around, each of us got $50 of our deposit back, because the Quads had changed management and all of our information was no longer in the computer system. Lori, the owner, refused to return our phone calls after we moved out and was (conviniently) never available. And beware: your rent had better never be a day late, or you'll pay double!! Not exaggerating...

Basically the staff just doesn't care. The apartments are nothing to brag about. The hallways are terribly gross, there's always trash laying about- the tenants and residents have no respect for your living space. The people above us used to dump grease down the fire escape and our whole apartment would just reek for weeks on end. neither of our airconditioners worked all summer... but no one came to fix them. Don't have a few people over on a friday, because the cops WILL get called. But your neighbors can blare music into the wee hours of the morning during finals week.

The Quads brag about having a pool... eeww! I've tried swimming in it... lets just say I'll opt for the pond across the street next time. Parking is a mess... my roommates truck got slammed into when she was parked on the end of the row, and that was not the only one! I swear the lot was always littered with bumpers and taillights. Don't park near the end!!

I also didn't feel safe here. I worked the late shift all year, and often came home midnight or later. let me tell you I bought pepper spray! A cop showed up at our door one night because our pizza delivery guy got mugged while walking up to our apartment...

Overall, the quads just sucked. I live in a trailer now, with an EXCELLENT landlord. He comes over the minute you call with a problem, is flexible with rent, and overall a very respectable man. And I pay less than what I paid at the quads... for a much nicer place. It's pointless to go around with these horrible tenants when there are so many other choices for out-of-dorm living. Research your options, and please, don't support these people!!!! Good luck!
