I lived in Royal Rentals Argonne apartments for 5 years. The building was old, asbestos was falling down in the laundry room and it was dirty and smelly down there. There was no carpet, no central AC, heat did not work that great in the winter. The appliances are old as crap! The only reason I lived there was because it was close to SIU and cheap rent for a grad student. If I had more money, I definitely would have left. They managed to take $65 out of my deposit. I heard that Royal Rentals does this pretty frequently, unfortunately. They are truly slumlords.
