This group has been created to warn all you Carbonites who rent apartments to stay far far away from Royal Rentals. The price up-front may be quite enticing but YOU WILL PAY in the END!!! From automatic deductions for carpet cleaning to purely fictitious damages and outrageous cleaning charges. I was charged $15 because I forgot a box of garbage bags. Half of the items in the apartment were broken already or did not work in the first place. But they make you sign a form stating everything is in working order before you move in to see if everything is in working order. They make you sign a lease before your cosigners credit is approved, so if approval does not go through you are stuck in the lease and charged a much much higher rate if you cannot find another cosigner. I should have known better when I saw there list of furniture and appliances that you could rent for an extra $10 or $20 a month. But I sure we all know about desperate times and desperate measures. These people are truly slum lords. You will not get your security deposit back, you will owe, regardless of how well you keep the place. they have a list of really minor stuff that you probably wouldn't think to clean (such as the exhaust fan which is covered with a grill) and they charge you for it. I never even used the kitchen but I got lots of charges in there. Don't stay here, you will regret it.

You are absolutely right. My girlfriend lived there for a year and she barely lived in her apartment. She used to come across the street and live with me. She only used her apartment for showering and changing. She never used her kitchen. However, these slum lords took away all her deposits showing some -------- marks on the floor which was already there. I almost felt like smashing that old man's face with a hammer. If you ever stay with royal rentals, then forget your deposits even if you make the place better than when you moved in. You will never get your deposit back 110% guaranted, and this in not just from my personal experience but from so many of the similar cases. Just google their name and see how many cases are against them and more than 90% are not even reported. Gook Luck !!

My law firm is pursuing a class action case against Royal Rentals for various problems relating to security deposits. We are looking for people willing to be witnesses. If you are, please contact us at: tgoodwin@edcombs.com
