I would NOT recommend staying at Saluki Apartments. The neighborhood is unsafe for one. The washers and dryers do not work well and the A/C in my apartment did not work. There are a lot of other problems with this place, and you will see for yourself what I mean. I am also pretty sure that anything positive you read about this place is written from the management of the place, which is pretty unethical if you ask me. Take my advice, and find a better and safer place to stay in Carbondale.

This is a response from Saluki Apartments Management. Thank you for your opinion. It helps us to continue making our place the very best value in Carbondale. Just a small response to yours. 1. The neighborhood IS Carbondale. This particular neighborhood is a melting pot of ethnicities living in it. If this makes YOU feel unsafe, this is regrettful. The FACTS are that the Carbondale Police Blotter has the accurate information on this neighborhoods "safety". It checks out to have few and less disturbances than those of less diversity. I encourage you to check it out sometime. The police department, as is the fire department, is less than a block away. We hope that nothing terrible has happened to you that you would make the statement that you have. If so, we are truly sorry that we or the "neighborhood" has let you down. 2. If any of the amenities in your apartment or within the community have not worked well for YOU, we apologies that it did not meet YOUR standards. We have 2, onsite maintenance men on staff at Saluki Apartments specifically to service any inconveniences in your apartment. I wish we would have known about those issues before. It doesn't sound like anything we wouldn't have handled immediately. Finally, the comment you made about the management at Saluki Apartments posting all of any positive things said about our property on this or any web review is sweeping, unstudied, irresponsible and mis-leading. It's this assortment of anonymous "dissing" that is truly UNETHICAL, but it is your opinion and you have the right to that. We hope only the best for you on your future and that you will have all your ambitions come true while in college and after. Let's hope, also, that all of them incluce loftier ideals and value of your time spent. p.s.
