I moved into one of the "renovated" units. It was renovated with all old appliances (fridge, water heater, oven). Within a month the stove broke and killed power to my apartment. The water heater kept short circuiting, so no hot water. I was told the cabinets would be refurbished. They looked like they had been saved from a salvage pile, and smelled like cat urine. Whenever it rains enough, the carpet by the outside wall will get soaked (without leaving the window up). The quality of workmanship by the maintenance staff seems to be to patch everything just enough to get the tenants to stop bitching for a while. Twice a tree fell over against the building during a heavy storm, and not moved for 3 days. One of them was just chopped up in place and pushed against the side of the building (it's still there!)

Overall, this was a very poor place to live, and I would hate to see how the older units are kept up.
