I moved here a year ago and just renewed my lease. So far, the only problem I've had was getting my dishwasher replaced. It took them 5 weeks to get me a "new" one, and probably would have taken longer had I not sent them a threatening letter stating that I would cut the rent short for the month since I wasn't receiving the full amenities. The pool is nice, but no one uses it. The neighbors are friendly, but don't speak english. The management is nice, but very "forgetful". And as of late, they've hired some weasel with a badge to walk around here and report everything he sees. He saw me changing a tire in the parking lot and not 2 minutes later along came a cop to question me. Not to mention that the entire area is a DUI trap. Don't even think of stepping into your car if you leave one of the local bars because whether you've been drinking or not, you'll be doing a sobriety test (and most likely right in front of my apartment!) The Carol Stream Police do not "Protect and Serve" they "Aggrivate, Annoy, and Arrest!"

But back to the apartment complex. My last complaint would be all the vehicles that just show up in the middle of the night and take all the parking spaces up. They don't do anything about the vehicles that don't have parking passes for our neighborhood, but don't get caught parking in a no parking zone or not having the village sticker.
