They love you till the lease is signed. So many promises were made to us before we signed: landscaping will be redone, parking lot will be fixed, apartment common areas will be remodeled. Well, the only landscaping we saw (besides the flowers outside the office and model) was the grass being cut. There has been a dead tree in the back since we moved in, and a few weeks ago it fell over. Still sitting there, dead, ugly, and now on its side. The parking lot had a few patches filled in, then seal coated, then new lines painted (badly). And the hallway was painted (no patching, no wall repairs, just painted) (badly), and ugly, cheap carpet that we at first thought was padding was installed. The stair rails are broken and have not been fixed during this "remodel".

Our names have never been put on our doorbell, despite three requests. This means when we have guests or deliveries, we have to explain our name is not Espanoza. We lived here almost a year; is asking to have our name on the door too much to ask'

The office staff is rude, curt, and makes you feel any request is cutting into their selling time.

As far as maintenance issues... Here's something that happened to us. There was a problem in our building with a leak. They blamed us for not using a shower curtain, for letting my kid splash in the tub, for not telling them our washer was leaking. We have not one, BUT TWO shower curtains, which are always pulled when we bathe, the baby takes his bath in the sink and we do not let him splash, and we never said our washer leaking BECAUSE IT WAS NOT LEAKING. They treated us like criminals for weeks, knocking on our door late at night, demanding to know what we were doing to cause the leak. Two very condescending letters were left at our door explaining how shower curtains work. Maintenance staff came and went in our apartment without warning, and often entered when we were not there. We are perfect renters; we pay our rent early, we don't have parties, we are quiet, and we keep to ourselves. This is how good renters are treated, I guess. Oh, and the leak was in the walls between our apartments. Never did we hear a "sorry for your inconvience" or a "thank you for your help".

There is dog feces everywhere. And despite the rules, a neighbor has a pit bull. He works for the complex, so I guess that's why the rules don't apply to him. He also keeps his dogs tied up outside barking all night. He and other renters throw their garbage in the lake. Calls to management have done nothing.

I have lived in apartments all my life. This is, by far, the worst I have ever lived in. The staff, top to bottom, is rude, ineffectual, and uncaring. All they want is your rent check. AWFUL!!!
