This place couldn't be any worse! We moved in on Jan. 16th with a 12 month lease that would start on Feb 1st. One would think that the lease would be up on Feb. 1st, but they are telling us no. We signed a 12 month lease and they say that they don't let anyone out of a lease during Dec., Jan., or Feb. The office staff has also given us problems about the automatic payment option. I went to pay rent one month and the lady took my information and processed it into the computer. I recieved a call later telling me that the lady had signed me up for the automatic payment and had not processed the payment. I sent my husband to make the payment and to take off the automatic payment. They told us that the problem was fixed and didn't even appologize. The next month my bank statement comes, and I have negative 700 dollars in my account. Lakehaven did not take off the automatic payment! I have now had to close that account due to insufficiant funds because I not only have to pay rent, but pay the bank for a bounced check. We have told them 4 times to take it off! That is only the icing on the cake. First off, my husband's motorcycle was stolen from the property on mother's day. We haven't heard anything still. Then, in July, one of the maintaince guys was arrested for chasing a women (who lived in the building next to us) with a gun. Did Lakehaven fire him' NO! He was also found to be breaking in to apartments and stealing from residents in my building! Did Lakehaven fire him then' NO! They waited untill his lease was up to tell him that they weren't going to rent to him again. Now tell me, what kind of f***ed up bull is that' There is also no controlled access. The back door to our building has been broke for quite a while. Also, people will just randomly buzz in an apartment until someone lets them in. And good luck finding a parking space close to your building after 5 p.m.
