I've been living here almost a year, and I love it. I'm not a very "needy" person, so my expectations for a home/apartment are moderate. I don't like scummy places, but also don't need anything elaborate like living in Oak Brook.

Lakehaven is perfect for me and I don't plan on moving out until my fiance and I save up enough money for our first home. The people here are really nice, my neighbors are all friendly, except for this one lady that always screams at her kids. My apartment is cozy. I could go for just a tad larger bedrooms though. The carpeting is pretty new, everything is electric in the apartment (no gas bill:-) ), the balconies are large and there is a washer and dryer in the apartment (although it is a little small)! The maintenance is very responsive. I've had quite a few tickets in over the time I've stayed, and maintenance has always arrived within a few days. If it was an urgent thing, they'd come right away, never any problems.

What I love above all though is everything outside of the apartment complex. The location is spectacular. I'm 4 minutes away from everything I could ever possibly need. All around Lakehaven is beautiful. There's upscale condo's across the street, Lakehaven is borders a gorgeous lake (it's really more like a very large pond though). There is a paved pathway, excellent for rollerblades that goes all around the lake. Also, if you have kids, there's the biggest park I've ever seen in my life with a huge playground on the other side of the lake, just like a 5 minute walk away.

It greatly depends on what kind of manager you currently have. During my time there, I had three different ones; two boneheads and an efficient brainiac.

absolutely. That's what matters the most. Lakehaven apartments has also just recently been bought out by the company that owns International Village in Lombard, which, if you haven't had the opportunity to check out, is absolutely gorgeous! It has a beautiful clubhouse, the apartments are very spacious and cozy. Plus, it's literally right next door to an awesome bar... can't think of the name off hand though..
