Looks good at first glance, but looks can be deceiving.

My husband and I moved in to these apartments on some what short notice. The spinaker model looked very pretty, nicely done up. We needed a place that would provide a washer and dryer in the unit because we have a baby on the way and didn't want to struggle with all the laundry. The second day living in our apartment the dishwasher over flowed and flooded our kitchen....called the 24 hour maintence and no one ever came. My husband drained the water and took apart the washer, pulled out the filter, and found huge chunks of black moldy food the size of golf balls on the filter and in the trap, along with cut up credit card pieces. It reaked horribly. Now every time I wash dishes little black chunks show up on my dishes, and I tried everything from bleach to vinegar to rid the washer of the smell and particles with no luck, not worth using the dishwasher any more. Don't drop ANY food in the kitchen because tons of ants will come out of no where at the sight of anything on the floor. I suggest investing in ant traps and bug killer immediately! Neighbors and they're children are obnoxious and unsupervised. Kids roam the halls and make tons of noise. They plug they're cd player into the outlet in the hallway and play music. The third floor tenants like to throw couches down the stairs, which makes it sound and feel like an earthquake is taking place in your apartment. The lint trap in our washer and dryer had NEVER been cleaned out, because it was caked with lint from the previous tenants before us and was not cleaned before we moved in. Then the dryer went out and stopped producing heat to dry the clothes. Maintence didn't come out that night either, so hubby pulled out the unit and it was filthy behind. Took apart the dryer only to find lint in every crevice. So nasty. And talk about a fire hazard. Closet doors come off easily, horrible caulking job on bathroom, sinks leak and have cracks in them, cabinets are all nasty and look like a dog chewed the crap out of them. Water here has very high amount of rust in it so everything rusts up super easy. Carpet is cheap and will feel like there is no padding underneath it after a while. Storage is $60/year for a little box in a dark closet. They paint over everything, including the ceiling fan, door knobs, etc. Anything to get the job done and in a hurry. They charge you for every little thing and threaten to raise your rent with what ever they have to replace-because everything is so old and outdated. But you make it your own and we will have to stay here until we buy a house. This place needs a remodel bad.

Folks, keep a record of everything that's going WRONG, date it happens, date and time you call maintenance or the office, etc. Then go visit that lousy manager and show it to them. I lived there and I HEAR what you are saying. And be sure to mention that I believe Rene, if he's still the head of maintenance, is a crook who's been stealing from the company.

I heard a new company has bought the place and doing upgrades now.
