I lived in LakeHaven from 2004 to 2006. It seemed like everything that could go wrong did:
1) The kitchen faucet was worn out; I called to have it replaced. Came home that night to find a pleasant young man cheerfully replacing THE BATHROOM faucet. Because he had done so, the crack in the sink (which I insisted be fixed before I moved in) began to leak again.

2) The 25-yr-old washer died; they put a new belt on it. Then the dryer died; they tried to fix it. A few days later it overheated and dxmn near started a fire! The manager finally had to eat shxt and replace it.

3) The roof started to leak. Before they got around to replacing the wornout roof tiles, there was MILDEW in the WALLS and laundry/water-heater closet. THE Painters PAINTED OVER the dirt behind the water-heater!!!
4) The light over the cramped parking lot near my building (too small an area for all the apartments surrounding it) went out, causing near-total darkness. It took them THREE days to put in a new light.

This is by NO means the last of the problems I encountered in that apartment. During my stay, the manager was replaced by someone with more than two brain cells and things started to get better. But that didn't last; the woman who replaced HIM decided, when my lease was nearly up, that my rent should be $150 more than what I was paying. They were going to graciously forgive me for not giving 8-weeks notice that I was moving - considering they had forgotten to send me this information despite my repeated attempts to get it from them! Aargh!

I moved to Glen Lake Club; for about $10 more than the Lakehaven manager proposed, I got a beautiful, well-kept apartment with a nice view and LOADS more parking. AND a jacuzzi in the clubhouse!!
